8th Teecoks Writing Competition

Towunmi Coker Literary Initiative (TCLI) is a non-profit organisation focused on effecting Societal changes using literature, arts and culture. TCLI will be conducting her 8th Teecoks Writing competition. The competition was setup to promoting reading and writing culture among High school students in Nigeria.

In lieu of the pandemic, TCLI will be transitioning from handwritten submissions to email submissions. This will be an opportunity for students to stay engaged at this time while still improving their literary skills and continued education.

Theme: Breathing through A Mask

Action:

-Submit a work of fiction on the above theme in not more than 1000 words.
OR
-Submit a work of Poetry on the above theme in not more than 30 lines.

BONUS Entry: Submit a Review on “She Made the Trees Walk” from www.tclilibrary.com

Prizes: Books, iPads, stationeries will be awarded to first 3 winners in Fiction and Poetry.

Consolation prizes for 4th to 10th Fiction and 4th and 5th Poetry section.

All great submissions will be published with Eleventh Publishing House.
